Hamako Films is film production company based in Portland, Oregon. Their work tells stories of belonging with a focus on social justice and the natural world.

The founder wanted the brand to evoke the soft, soaked landscape of coastal Oregon, reflect her work’s interest in identity and the outdoors, and honor her Japanese roots — Hamako, which means 𝘣𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘳𝘦, is her grandmother's name.
